I belong to the generation that learned directly from the maestros of 1990s Buenos Aires, and I have taught and performed Argentine tango across Europe, North America, and Asia for thirty years — sharing the culture and inviting people to feel this art form.

Information is steps, patterns, and technique; formation is perception, cultural understanding, and the ability to feel and inhabit the dance from the inside. Most teaching hands you more vocabulary; my work is to form the dancer underneath it. You do not arrive there by information. You arrive there by formation.

No. I work with dancers at every stage, from their first steps to championship preparation. What matters is the seriousness of your intention, not your years on the floor; every program is built around where you are and where you want to go.

No. I teach in English, and all programs for international visitors are conducted in English. You will never feel lost in the language.

No. Private lessons and programs work for solo dancers and for couples alike. Tango is led and followed between two people, and I teach both roles. For the work itself, you have a partner in me.

A milonga is a social tango gathering with its own codes: the cabeceo, the tanda, the cortina, the ronda. It is where the dance, music, and poetry actually live, and learning to inhabit it is part of what I teach. It is not a class and not a show; it is an event where people try to find others who love tango, as they themselves do.

The cabeceo is the traditional non-verbal invitation of the Buenos Aires milonga: one dancer catches another's eye across the room and offers a small nod, accepted or declined by the gaze. It is part of the cultural interaction common in Buenos Aires, where people use eye contact to communicate. The challenge is for those whose own culture is not used to communicating by looking into each other's eyes.

As a cultural expression, it is how the people of the Río de la Plata put a whole life — its longing, its humor, its grief — into three minutes of music and an embrace.

Private lessons come in three formats, depending on your time and goals. A single 60-minute session is USD 100. A pack of three sessions is USD 270. A pack of five sessions — which I recommend for anyone serious about real transmission — is USD 450, completed within one month to keep the momentum. For deeper work, the Goal-Driven Coaching programs run 10 hours for USD 800 or 20 hours for USD 1,500, structured over 7 to 15 days of intensive, personalized training. The Tango StoryTime 10-day cultural immersion is USD 2,850 and includes masterclasses, seven dance sessions, eight milongas, a Buenos Aires cultural tour, and a folklore workshop, with the group capped at seven participants.
